Why this movie: I've chosen this movie as it's interesting as it shows an hybrid of crime, thriller and bloody action.Because it covers a series of film genres this makes it more fascinating and thrilling.Furthermore, from this I'm able to absorb lots of information for me to elaborate on.

The story line is shown to be two struggling pals dress as police officers for a costume party and become neighbourhood sensations. But when these newly-minted "heroes" get tangled in a real life web of mobsters and dirty detectives, they must put their fake badges on the line.

Characters

The main characters are two Hollywood movie stars, Jake Johnson and Damon Way-ans Jr. Theses character fit in perfectly as they're already are main characters of 'New Girl'. They start of being calm but as the movie progresses they are shown to be brave and willing to stop all the villains.

There are many iconography of comedy and action genre:one liners, explosion, funny scenes, guns. All of these are typical of the action or comedy genres- in connection with the narrative, we can confidently say this is a action/comedy.

The movie was set in the USA, to be specific it was in held in a small area of Los Angles.although the movie is 2 minutes to 3 minutes it's safe to say that is set in USA, los Angles

The movie is of two British stars, Marc Wootton and Martin Clunes. Marc Wootton acts to be a primary school teacher, who goes by the name of Mr Poppy. Marin Clunes acts as being a new school teacher, going by the name of Mr Shepherd. These characters fit into this movie as they're well-known for many Christmas movies such Nativity 1 and Nativity 2.

The characters are different towards each other they all have their own agenda. Theirs iron man, Thor, captain america and hulk. these are the classic marvel characters.

There's plenty of iconography typical of a action genre:explosions, fire, guns and weapons.All of these are typical of the action  genre - in connection with the narrative, we can confidently say this is a action.

Setting:


The film is manly based in the USA. Although the trailer is 2 mins long, it is safe to say that the film is based in the USA. Within the country  their is clearly action stunts set in USA.

Medium close up
This image is a medium close up.this medium close up shot is when we can see the main characters face to his shoulder. In this medium close up image we can see Tom Cruise who looks like he has been noticed by flying officers, we can tell this by the emotion he shows in his face. The image tells the audience Tom Cruise has been running and therefore is out of breath . In the background we are able to see the alley way he had ran into, which had caused him to be trapped by the officers.

Wide shot
This is a wide shot image, a wide shot image allows us to see were the scene is set.In this wide shot image we are able witness a old car that has been vandalized as well as sabotaged. Furthermore, in the background we can see construction work as there are worker stands behind the old car.Also this scene tells the audience the image has been taken from the front of an alley way, you can tell this because we can see dimness and shadows. In addition, the shops are under construction so this lets the audience know that running into an alley way isn't an ideal area as there could be other criminals around. Behind the car you’re able to see Tom Cruise sprinting from flying officers.

Medium close up
This medium close up shot shows the audience that there are a lot of people on the hunt for Tom Cruise's character. This could suggest that they want him quite desperately and it's almost an emergency which make the whole atmosphere quite serious and tense. It also gives us a chance to see the characters' emotions, which is desperate and serious.
